 MUSEUM OF GRASS

Did you eat grass for breakfast today? You might be surprised!

POWER FACTS

From the food you eat to the air you breathe, grass is an important part of your life.

Grass is everywhere.

Grasslands make up 20% of all earth’s plant life. There are over 10,000 species of grass!

We make important stuff out of grass.

Humans around the world use grass to make objects like paper, roofs, floors and baskets.

We eat grass.

Rice, wheat, oats, sugar, and corn, are some food that come from grass to feed people and animals. Half of the world eats rice.

Grass helps us breathe.

Grass produces oxygen, which humans need to breathe.

MEET THE BUILD TEAM:

The Museum of Grass was designed by 6 year old Reid Sampson. Reid loves Legos, math games, and looking for bugs outside. He wants to be a XXXXX when he grows up.

Reid lives with his mom, dad, and two brothers in Happy Valley, Oregon. Reid’s older brother, Rhett, made a museum about his favorite animal: the cheetah. You can check out the Museum of Grass and the Museum of Cheetahs in the photo gallery below!
